It may be mentioned here that the government had allocated initial funds totalling $150 million to buy a coronavirus vaccine directly from international manufacturers by the second quarter of 2021.
According to The Brecorder, although Pakistan will get the vaccine for free from Gavi, the delivery has been delayed, which is why the government is making arrangements to buy the vaccine directly from companies.
