LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has appointed All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Patron-in-Chief Gohar Ejaz as head of its complaint resolution committee for settlement of sales tax matters.
The FBR on Tuesday had constituted a special committee, which was tasked to review complaints related to sales tax; take prompt action for their resolution; follow up with field formations till the issue was resolved; and adopt a mechanism for early resolution of such matters.
The committee headed by Gohar Ejaz also included Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue-Lahore; additional commissioner (RTO-Lahore); Pacific Pharmaceuticals Vice President Dr Quratul Ain Irfan, former Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) president Almas Hyder and APTMA Executive Director Mohammad Raza Baqir.
The additional commissioner will serve as the secretary of the committee.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued on Wednesday, Gohar Ejaz has urged all taxpayers and members of the business community to forward their issues pertaining to sales tax refunds along with documentary evidence to the additional commissioner/committee secretary.
CONFIDENCE IN PRIVATE SECTOR
The business community has largely appreciated the government’s initiative for reposing its confidence in the leadership of the private sector by appointing Gohar Ejaz as head of the tax resolution committee.
They hoped that the committee, under the leadership of Gohar Ejaz, would be able to achieve its objectives in the shortest possible time.
It’s the best of the best decision taken by the Federal Government of PTI.
Although it could be improved more making region wise like KARACHI, LAHORE, FAISALABAD, SIALKOT, GUJRANWALA, HYDERABAD, SUKKUR, PESHAWER, QUETTA
As these are the major cities, anyhow there is lot of things can be done further and I advise to PRIME MINISTER & PLANNING MINISTER TO PLEASE MAKE SUCH COMMITTEES IN ALL BIG CITIES AND THEIR HEAD MUST BE THE PRESIDENT OF CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF THAT CITY AND CO HEAD BE THE PRESIDENT OF INDUATRIAL ZONE LIKE IN KARACHI WHERE WE HAVE , SITE, KITE AND MANY OTHERS IN THIS MEGAPOLITION CITY.
Gohar Ejaz has is doing fraud with thousands of people in lake city and the government has more power to him. He sold thousand of files in Lake City Block M7 C2, C2, C3 and C4 5 years ago and there is no NOC.
He is also earning lot of money from innocent peoplesby wrong commitments. Gohar Ijaz lake city is not giving pocession to file holder whi already gave him hard earnd money for tgeir dream.houses. please Khuda da wasta ha app koo iss koo maaf na kejeay ga ..
Gohar ejaz is doing fraud in his lake city m7c 1-2-3-4 he sales many files but still no possession even he received development charges more then 2 years.
Many of innocent overseas affected by gohar ejaz peole recording their complains on pakistan portal also but PM or CM is not taking action on this person. I am the one also affected by his wrong commitment. Where is the NAYA PAKISTAN 🤔
Sad affairs, thousands of people are already suffering in Lake City, billions of rupees is taken from people and yet no possession is given to anyone in several sectors of Lake City. A person who should be under scrutiny by Gov for not delivering is instead made the Head of Tax Settlement Body? What worst can you expect from the Gov? We expected this Gov to be the custodians of Sadiq & Ameen, is this symbol of Sadaqat & Amanat. Common people are suffering, their hard earned money is at stake and apparently high ups are busy with their gimmicks. Even no response from PM Portal. Sad poor unfair!
PM Imran khan should take action instead giving opportunity to Gohar Ejaz Fraudia who has sold files of Lake City with possession charges but people are suffering without possession even after 5 years,

Recently, a news splashed in the media about a wedding worth 2 billion rupees in Gujranwala. FBR carried out its investigation to see uf there was any attempt to turn money white or launder it. Turned out the event management company was owned by the subject in the above news. Now, investigation has culminated to this appointment.
This guy Gohar is a fraud. He should have been put behind the bars. Instead government is giving him more authority. He has taken billions of rupees against Lake city blocks M7C 1, 2 , 3 and 4. He is the biggest fraudia of Lahore.
