Lahore Police find mosque prayer leader dead with throat slit

Punjab CM Buzdar took notice of the murder and sought a report from the police

The prayer leader of Shalimar Mosque, situated at Multan Colony in Lahore, was found dead on Thursday with his throat slit.

According to police, the body of Mohammad Asif, son of Mureed Hussain, was found from the quarters adjacent to the mosque and some unidentified people had visited the quarters to meet the 24-year-old victim before he was found dead.

The body was later moved to a morgue for post-mortem. The police suspect the same visitors to have killed Asif.

Later, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice of the murder and sought a report from the Capital City Police Officer. He called for the arrest of those involved in the felony at the earliest and assured the bereaved family of justice at any cost.
