ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Interior and Accountability Barrister Mirza Shahzad Akbar on Tuesday severely criticized Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
Mirza tweeted that Maryam attempted to teach a lesson on the constitution to Supreme Court despite being a “convict” a and “drop out” from college, and having a history of attacking SC during the stint of the PML-N in government.
Responding to a tweet of Maryam, he said the family traditions of the Sharifs are dark as the unruly party workers of PML-N had stormed into the Supreme Court in 1997, forcing then Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah to remove the finding of contempt case against Nawaz Sharif.
“Look at her audacity! a convict and college drop out, living off her family wealth (very basis of which are in dispute as being proceed of crime) is teaching Constitution to Supreme Court,” he tweeted.
He urged the PML-N VP to go through the history of the theory of necessity as the
political birth of her father Nawaz Sharif and his party PML-N took place in the lap of the ancestor of the theory of necessity.
“Your yeast includes the politics of buying and purchasing which was initiated in Changa Manga by Nawaz Sharif,” he said adding Prime Minister Imran Khan will end such malpractices.
Similarly, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill on Tuesday said Maryam Nawaz is not politically groomed as she is always against the merit.
Talking to a private news channel, he said she issued an irresponsible and disputed statement against the Supreme judiciary of the country.
The SAPM requested the SC to take notice of her statement, as she has committed contempt of the court, he said, further wondering how she could imagine one in her post could dictate the supreme judiciary.
He said Maryam Nawaz had been trying to remove her name from the Exit Control List (ECL) for a long time, but the government made it clear that it would not allow any type of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) to anyone.
Shahbaz Gill said she was the production of the Sicilian mafia as her father had been previously declared as Sicilian mafia by the court in a case.
