The current situation in Myanmar after a military coup is a matter of great concern. There have been daily reports of the ongoing Myanmar protests. The clashes between the protesters and the military personnel have been reported from there. On top of all, a series of Internet shutdowns, complete unrest across the region and the fear of living in bizarre condition have just added up to the whole crisis situation out there in Myanmar. Nowadays, those protests have almost become the order of the day internationally. Though such protests can be validated in a democratic setup, continuous protests will only lead to more confusion and much more unrest. During the college days in Korkai, Tuticorin, Tiruchendur and Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu in the late 1990s, we students had witnessed a lot of student protests. Only because of administrative failure could such protests take place. I hope here in Myanmar, not only have no proper messages come from the military leaders but also no promising things have been reassured to the protesters so far. Apart from the international voice, more serious efforts are needed to urge the military dictators to get serious about the future and overall growth of Myanmar.
