Gender inequality in Pakistan

By percentage, men form 51 percent women 48.76 percent and transgender 0.24 percent of the total population in Pakistan. The sex ratio of Pakistan is 105.07 that means there are about 105 men for 100 women in Pakistan. The gender issues which mostly women faced in Pakistan are domestic violence, honour killing, rape and abduction, marital rape forced marriages and induced abortions but over years.

Subsequently ,the world has gotten closer to achieving gender equality. Likely, there is better representation of women in Pakistan, more economic opportunities, and better healthcare in many places of the world. Yet it is not completely accepted by everyone to treat men and women equally. Actually, it will take another century before true gender equality becomes a reality. Around the world, women still have less access to education than men. Further, only six countries in the world had given women the some legal work rights as men. Another true reality of life is many women around the world don’t have authority over their own bodies.

In addition to limited aaccess to contraception women overall receive lower quality medical care than men. It would be impossible to talk about gender inequality without talking about racism. It affects what jobs women of color are able to get and how much they are paid, as well as how they are viewed by legal and healthcare systems. Gender inequality and racism have been closely linked for a long time. Finally , equal opportunities should be provided ,education must be promoted, profession and training should be developed for women.

Equal treatment of women with men at work legislation against domestic violence and in the name of honour killings. These measures should be taken to stop gender inequality.
