Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday contacted Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader Nawaz Sharif to discuss the opposition’s future strategy, including matters related to the long march.
According to INP, both the leaders discussed the country’s overall political situation and the situation which developed after resignations of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Awami National Party (ANP) from PDM.
Both the leaders agreed to move forward against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government and stick to the agenda of the PDM.
The PPP and the ANP have parted their ways with the PDM over the issuance of show-cause notice.
Earlier this week, JUI-F and PDM chief Fazl asked the PPP and the ANP to reconsider their decision of resigning from the alliance.
Meanwhile, PPP senior leader Chaudhary Manzoor, in an interaction with reporters, had said that PPP would not reconsider its decision of quitting the opposition’s alliance.
Commenting over Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif’s bail, Manzoor had said that “Shehbaz Sharif got bail as a result of the deal”.
