Covid-19 kills 24, infects 1,980 in a day: NCOC

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan confirmed 1,980 new Covid-19 cases over the last 24 hours, the National Command and Operation Centre said on Wednesday.

The NCOC, a department leading the campaign against the pandemic, said that the total caseload rose to 978,847, including 915,343 recoveries.

According to the NCOC, 24 more deaths were recorded over the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 22,642.

Sindh is the worst-hit province with 349,586 infections, followed by Punjab with 348,725 confirmed cases.

The NCOC said on its website that Pakistan has administered a total of 21,076,550 Covid-19 vaccine doses across the country, with 4,209,460 people fully vaccinated so far.
