Afghan forces capture four Taliban fighters for Eid rocket attack

Afghan forces have captured four Taliban fighters including a militant commander for carrying out this week’sĀ rocket attackĀ targeting the presidential palace in Kabul during the Eidul Azha prayers, officials said on Sunday.

At least three rockets landed near the palace on Tuesday as President Ashraf Ghani and his top officials performed outdoor prayers to mark the start of Eid.

The interior ministry said police had arrested four Taliban fighters who were behind the attack, which was claimed by the Islamic State group, in an operation in Kabul.

ā€œA Taliban commander, Momin, along with his three other men, have been arrested. They all belong to the Taliban group,ā€ ministry spokesman Mirwais Stanikzai told reporters in a video message.

He said Momin was a key organiser of the rocket attack, and the group was also involved in other attacks.

The palace was alsoĀ attackedĀ last year as hundreds gathered for Ghani’s inauguration for a second term as president. That attack was also claimed by IS.

The Taliban have announced ceasefires during past Islamic holidays in recent years, offering respite to Afghans who can visit family in relative safety, but no such offer was made on this occasion.

The rocket attack on Tuesday came as the Taliban capitalise on the last stages of the withdrawal of US-led foreign forces from Afghanistan,Ā capturingĀ scores of districts, border crossings and encircling several provincial capitals.

The fighting continues across the rugged countryside as peace talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban have so far failed to reach a deal to end the war.

In a bid to curb the surging violence, Afghan authorities on SaturdayĀ imposed a night-time curfewĀ in 31 of the country’s 34 provinces except Kabul, Panjshir and Nangarhar.

  1. It was not the day of Eiduladha in any country situated east of the Atlantic Ocean on that day i.e. Tuesday July 20, 2021. This day was a day of Eid for Muslims in the Americas only according to what Allah showed in the sky.
That day was also a day of Hujj. The Hujjaaj were assembled in Arafah a day earlier by the powerful anti-Shariah Ummulqurah calendar Lobby i.e. on the 8th day.
When I asked someone living in Jeddah to go out and see the Helaal with his own eyes as to what game the Ummulqurah calendar Lobby play, he went first on the 28th day. When I asked him as to why did he go on the 28th day. His response was that because he saw a it on the Saudi Calendar. He learned eventually that the dates of Ramadan and Eids announced by the Ummulqurah calendar Lobby are fictions most of the times.
The Afghans are the only people in this region who religiously obey not Allah as they obey the fictions given out by the Ummulqurah calendar Lobby. It is for this reason that there is problem at times when the Afghans celebrate fake Eid and their relations in Pakistan in the border areas do not as in Pakistan and the whole indo-Pak continent go by what Allah shows in the sky.
