ISLAMABAD: Following a phenomenal victory in the elections of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Imran Khan has set his eyes on Sindh and has directed the party leadership to accelerate efforts to revive Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Sindh.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, former chief minister Arbab Ghulam and party’s parliamentary leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh.
According to sources in the ruling PTI, Prime Minister Imran chaired a meeting of Sindh Strategy Committee and the political situation in Sindh was discussed. This was the third consecutive meeting of the party to discuss its strategy in Sindh.
The meeting decided to hold fourth meeting of the Sindh Strategy Committee in the federal capital next week. It was also decided in the meeting that the political and administrative decisions would be finalised by the federal government for Sindh Province.
The meeting also decided that Prime Minister Imran will visit Sindh from August and he would meet leading Sindhi politicians to join the PTI. The premier will also meet with Sindh intellectuals, lawyers’ organisations and civil society.
