Pakistan will continue efforts to encourage women education in Afghanistan: Fawad

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain on Monday said that Pakistan will continue its efforts to encourage women education in Afghanistan.

In a telephonic conversation with Malala Yousafzai, he said that Pakistan is also providing educational facilities to children of Afghan refugees as about six thousand Afghan children are studying in Pakistan.

Malala informed the minister about international concerns on women rights in Afghanistan and said that Pakistan should play an active role to promote women education in Afghanistan.

She said that she has also written a letter to the prime minister of Pakistan in this regard.
