Govt will ensure provision of transport facilities to residents of Karachi: PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the Federal Government will ensure provision of transport facilities to the residents of Karachi.

Talking to Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said that previous governments have been ignoring Karachi, which is the economic hub of the country. He also said that ensuring easy access of labourers and manpower to industries for employment in Karachi is one of the top priorities of the government.

The planning minister apprised the Prime Minister of progress on various development projects in Karachi. He told the PM that the process of getting approval to start New Karachi Circular Railway project will soon be completed.
