The flag carrier has secured two Airbus jets on lease via open tender. One of the aircraft reached Islamabad today, while the other is expected to reach by month-end.
A niche product aimed at countries with congested domestic markets, the wide-body 2017-born jets are aimed at replacing the ageing fleet of the airline.
Commenting on the development, PIA Chief Executive Officer Arshad Malik thanked the efforts of the team.
