Only people who will do a good job will stay: Ramiz Raja to provincial coaches

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja in a message to the coaches of the provincial teams said “perform or go home”.

According to Express Tribune Raja severely criticised coaches of the provincial teams, giving them a clear message that underperformance would no longer be tolerated.

It was reported that in the meeting with the provincial teams, the newly-appointed chairman expressed distrust over the performance of the coaches and questioned the role of the coaches in the team selection.

“Many changes are being made to fix Pakistan cricket, hence, everyone will have to contribute accordingly,” Raja said.

Following the meeting there was talk amongst coaches to resign as a whole but it was dropped. The coaches were angry over the “commanding tone” of the new PCB chairman.
