During the investigation of Minar-e-Pakistan incident, in which TikToker Ayesha Akram was assaulted by dozens of men in Lahore’s Greater Iqbal Park on August 14, an audiotape of call between Ayesha and suspect Amir Sohail alias Rambo has surfaced, a news outlet reported on Monday.
According to the report, the police seized Rambo’s phone, found a recording of a telephone conversation between him and Ayesha, and made the phone call recording a part of the case.
According to the audio recording, Akram and Rambo were planning to take money from all the suspects who have been arrested in the case so far. They discussed the number of suspects arrested and how much money should be taken from them, besides discussing that most of them belong to a low income group.
Ayesha had nominated Rambo, who is currently in police custody, and 12 others in a statement, holding them responsible for the incident.
According to the police, of the 104 suspects initially taken into custody for allegedly assaulting Ayesha, six have so far been identified by the victim, while three have confessed to the crime.
