PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Science technology and information technology and Food Atif Khan has said that KP government successfully hosted the Digital Youth Summit (DYS) 2021.
Pakistan’s Premier Tech Conference, held on last November 13th and 14th at the Pearl Continental Hotel in Peshawar. The minister expressed these views on Wednesday, in a statement regarding DYS 2021, in Peshawar.
Atif Khan expressed that DYS 2021 was a large platform which not only bring stakeholders, technology experts and entrepreneurs, for potential collaborative opportunities, but also brings together investors and venture capital firms that evaluate local startups and offers them possible investment opportunities resulting in the further growth of the startup ecosystem and job creation.
“connectivity and the provision of PKR 8 billion to train 100,000 youth for job creation and sustainable economic growth in the province are of top priority for the KP Government “, told Atif Khan, adding KP government is committed to provide more opportunities for KP’s youth.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board(KPITB) officials told that DYS 2021 was Kicked-off by Pakistan’ President Dr. Arif Alvi, Minister Atif Khan and the Country Director of the World Bank Najy Benhassine. “DYS saw over 8,000 visitors at its Peshawar venue in addition to 29,000 plus people tuning in online”, told by KPIT officials.
KPITB told that this year’s ceremony of Digital Youth Summit was attended and addressed by Federal Minister of Science and Technology Syed Shibli Faraz, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, KP Minsters Kamran Bangash, Shahram Tarakai,Taimur Jhagra, and other notables.
Digital Youth Summit (DYS) started its journey in 2014 and has become a globally recognized brand name and is Pakistan’s largest and longest-running tech conference thus far.
The Digital Youth Summit was brought by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB), The World Bank Group, Multi Donor Trust Fund, ST&IT Department, and Economic Revitalization of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (ERKP), powered by Jazz.
