The skills with degrees are the reciprocal relations. They are both unstable without each other. The combination of both makes your life astonishing. Without a degree and skill, nowadays, it is hard as stone to survive in the 21st century. The degree provides theoretical knowledge that assists us in various aspects of our lives, and the skills gained through practical experience have increased and improved our abilities. In the past, after getting a degree, we got the job, but in the present circumstances, jobs also require skills to do the proper job. Some take skills with a degree, some take relevant skills according to their degree, and some take different skills according to their interests. Skills and degrees are equivalent in this century. Neither can we skip the degree nor the skill.
Degrees are certified documents that prove that a person has succeeded in their academic institution. And it is not necessary that you succeed in real life. A few years back, a person had the skills, so that person does not give value to the degree because he was able to earn with skills in the opposite degree. The degree holder does not value the skill because the job did not require skill in the past. A degree works on personal development and makes a person polite and humble. A skill is an abstract term. A person has a skill and that skill does not have paper proof to show that he has too much experience in that skill. Some people were born with that skill, like painting, sketching, and so many others. If we talk about the ancient era, people did not have a degree, but they were skilled people, and all had excellent skills. If you go to get a job today, they will ask you about your skills and how many skills you have.
Both have faced various types of barriers in recent centuries. People who have the skills face a lot of difficulties because, in job places, without a degree, you are not considered for a job. You must have a degree to get a job. If you just have a degree, it is very difficult for you to grow further. And in the 21st century, the interviewer’s perspective is that if you do not have the skills, you cannot do your job well. “If you have a degree but no skill, then you will be “hired” in the morning and “fired” in the evening” (Lucky Agrawal).
If you want to survive in this century, you have to work on both your skills and degrees. If you want to earn more, it is essential to learn the skill with a degree.
