P&D Board chairman reviews implementation status of ADP 2021-22

Planning & Development Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal on Thursday chaired a meeting to review the implementation status of Punjab government’s Annual Development Plan 2021-22.

The meeting, which was attended by senior officers of concerned departments, reviewed the implementation status of the ADP in light of allocated budget, releases, and its utilisation.

During the meeting, the P&D chairman was briefed about new schemes and progress of ongoing schemes in Punjab. It was also briefed to the chair that out of 4,680 schemes, 4406 schemes have been approved.

The chairman directed to ensure fast-track implementation of ADP 2021-22 and follow the guidelines and timelines in letter and spirit.

The meeting decided that a proactive approach is required to kick start implementation of the ADP with a robust monitoring mechanism at all levels. A robust quality control mechanism will be put in place by administrative departments to ensure quality of work as per the vision of Punjab chief minister. The government will be focusing on streamlining the procedures to fast-track the implementation.
