West Indies team will again arrive in Pakistan in June 2022: Ramiz

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja on Thursday said that a full-fledged West Indies team will again arrive in the country for ODI series in June, 2022.

Earlier, the PCB and Cricket West Indies had decided to postpone the ODI series, that was scheduled to begin in Karachi on Saturday, due to confirmation of Covid cases in the touring party’s camp.

On Thursday, the PCB chairman also praised the Pakistan team and the opening pair of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam as the Men in Green chased down 208 in the final T20I against West Indies, the highest-ever by Pakistan in the history of this format.

“Very impressive record chase tonight. Self-belief and calmness was at the heart of that feat!. Great year for Rizwan and he doesn’t have a bad partner in Babar too. Pity about the rescheduling of the ODI series but we will have a full fledged fit West Indies team for that June encounter,” he tweeted.
