Religious beliefs, imperialism, and the World War complicated the demographic situation in the middle east, especially in the Eastern Mediterranean region. The origin of the self-declaration nation Israel has worsened the situation since 1948 and it became the apple of discord between Arab and Zionist.
For more than seventy years it has been the centre of debate between Pro-Palestine’s and Pro-Israel’s regarding the religious and historical claim of land, involvement of Britain, and the Zionist movement. Historically the Jewish population lost control and rights of the land in 136 A.D. when the Roman Empire destroyed the Jewish temple. Palestinian Arabs took control of this area from 136 A.D. and till the Ottoman Empire fell, after World War in 1918 Palestine remained under their control. Demographically Arab were the ethnic majority and Jews were the minority, until, during 1931, the total population of Arabs was 1,033,314 while Jews constitute 174,606, even after the establishment of Israel the Arabs were in the huge majority, but historically Zionist greed for this land can be observed even before the fell of the Ottoman Empire.
The United States and United Nation should end the biased attitude towards Israel. The US provides cumulative foreign aid to Israel and it has been a closed ally to Israel and his security partner. The US saw Israel as its very important ally in the fighting against Russian influence in the Middle East. In this regards the US provides approximately $4 billion including $500 million for missile defence systems to Israel.
The US biased role worsens the situation. United Nation must play its role to ensure the safety of every citizen living in Palestine, Palestinian children have the same blood as the children living in the west! It is a time to recognise that there is an elephant in the room, otherwise, this conflict in the middle east will further increase the rift between different countries and if not handled properly it may lead to a third world war that could only bring destruction to the world and at the end, no one may found the Helen of Troy.
