The Muslim Institute on Friday organised a seminar titled “Quaid-e-Azam: Thoughts and Influences” at a local hotel in Lahore.
Punjab Minister for Education and Information Technology Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfaraz, Government College University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Asghar Zaidi, Muslim Institute Chairman Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali, Major General (r) Zahid Mubashir Sheikh, and Prof Humayun Ehsan addressed the seminar while number of professors, researchers, scholars, lawyers and students attended the event.
The speakers said Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s personality is a beacon of light for all Pakistanis, adding that the country came into being after the founder of the nation united the Muslims of the subcontinent on a single ideology.
They said researchers around the world pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam and many monuments around the globe are named after him.
They further said the growing extremism in India proves Quaid-e-Azam’s view that peace cannot be assured unless all nations living in India get freedom.
They emphasised that the only solution to the extremism in India is the liberation of all nations from Indian colonialism, adding that the protection of minorities in India is solely and exclusively dependent upon the freedom of various communities and nations living there.
They added that nations that thrive in the world are those that adhere to the ideologies of their great leaders and preserve their culture and identity.
“We need to acquaint our youngsters with the ideas of our great leaders so that they may have moral and intellectual training.”
At the end, Sahibzada Sultan thanked all the guests for attending the event.
