Beijing 2022: Chinese mixed pair clinch second win in curling

BEIJING: Team China’s Fan Suyuan and Ling Zhi clinched their second consecutive win in the round robin of curling mixed doubles at the Beijing Winter Olympics, defeating Team Australia’s Tahli Gill and Dean Hewitt 6-5 on Thursday.

The Chinese pair took an early lead by the 4th set, outscoring their opponents 3-1.

The score remain unchanged till the 5th set, where the Chinese pair extended the lead to 4-1.

Team Australia gave Fan and Ling a scare in the sixth set, where they evened the score at 4-4.

The Chinese pair sealed the deal at 6-5, following an error from Team Australia in the deciding set.

Team China will face Team Sweden on Thursday evening.
