At least six wanted militants were killed by security forces in a heavy exchange of fire during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on a terrorist hideout in Buleda, Balochistan on Wednesday, the military said.
“These terrorists were involved in recent terrorist activities in Kech,” military’s media wing, the ISPR, said in a statement. Cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the terrorist hideout, it added.
Last month, 10 soldiers embraced martyrdom after terrorists attacked a security forces’ check post in Balochistan’s Kech district, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations.
The media wing of the military had said that intense exchange of fire occurred in the “fire raid” by terrorists on the check post. It added that the forces repulsed the attack, killing one terrorist, injuring several others and apprehending three.
