LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Local Government and Community Development Department Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed has said that public welfare development projects worth over Rs.1 billion have been completed in Allama Iqbal Town in the constituency of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood NA-130 and his constituency PP-160 during the last two years.
These include sewerage, water supply, gas pipeline, construction, repair and carpeting of roads, streets, and installation of street lights, he added.
Giving details in this regard, the provincial minister said that numerous public welfare development projects were completed in Karim Block, Neelam Block, Badar Block, Nishtar Block, Shah Kamal, Fatehabad, Bhikewal, Ichhra, Kamboh Colony, Ganj Bakhsh Road, Shah Jamal Road, Union Parks and other areas of Allama Iqbal Town. While the ongoing projects will be completed as soon as possible.
Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed said that in PP-160, efforts are being made to provide more civic amenities to the residents. According to the vision of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Punjab, providing basic facilities to the people is our mission. Providing basic services to the people is one of the top priorities of the PTI government, he added.
