Two robbers killed in Gujrat shootout

GUJRAT: Law enforcing agencies have killed two robbers while two more managed to escape.
According to police sources, 17 cases of robbery were registered against the robbers who were killed in encounters in limits of various Police Stations.
Four armed robbers were busy in robbing the passers-by near Bhola Jalaluddin village in Saddar Lala Musa area. On information, Police launched operation but the robbers managed to escape on two Motorcycles.
Police blocked road near Taranwala to arrest the robbers. As soon as the robbers reached near the police check post, they started firing indiscriminately on police. The police party retaliated the fire, killing two robbers while two others escaped on motorcycles.
SHO Sadar Lala Musa Inspector Sarfraz Ahmed had also set up a roadblock near Karnana village. The killed accused, who was later identified as Bilal Hassan son of Matiullah, resident of Mandi Bahauddin.
The two accused Amanullah and Bilal Hassan were wanted by different police stations in 17 incidents of robbery. Police seized two motorcycles and recovered jewelery, cash and weapons from the spot and started investigation.
Meanwhile, a search operation is being carried out by setting up roadblocks across the district to search for the absconding accused.
