Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja has revealed that the cricketing body is working to expand the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) into a competition large enough to rival the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) and transform a struggling national women’s team into a winning unit, a news outlet reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, the chairman, while speaking at the National Stadium on Monday, talked about hosting top-tier teams such as Australia and England in triangular events, expanding the HBL PSL into a competition large enough to rival the IPL, and rebuilding a failing national women’s team into a successful unit.
He also announced intentions to transform Pakistan’s cricketing landscape through the addition of world-class pitches, international coaches, and state-of-the-art facilities.
