Punjab to register nurseries to increase export of flowers: Gardezi

The government of Punjab is executing a project to register various nurseries across the province to increase the production and export of flowers.
Punjab Minister for Agriculture Hussain Jahania Gardezi said this while addressing a Floriculture Conference at Agriculture University Faisalabad.
While congratulating the organisers for holding this conference, Gardezi said that such conferences will provide a platform to all the stakeholders. Earlier, AUF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmed Khan, while addressing the conference, emphasised on the importance of creating an integrated value chain of flowers and training the staff to increase flower exports.
Dr David from Netherland and Jafar Jaskani along with other speakers also addressed the conference. Agricultural experts, students of the university and nursery owners participated in the conference.
Later, Hussain Jahanian Gardezi inaugurated a tent pegging competition, Kisan Mela Jashan-e-Baharan, at the university.
