Pakistan has zero coronavirus deaths for third consecutive day

ISLAMABAD: The nation registered its third consecutive coronavirus death-free day with all other indicators also nosediving indicating that the health crisis was taking its last breaths in the country.

Pakistan on Tuesday reported 148 new Covid-19 cases, the ministry of health said on Wednesday.

According to the data released by the ministry, the overall tally of Covid-19 cases has risen to 1,525,923, including 1,486,464 recoveries.

There are 9,098 active cases in the country, including 310 patients in critical condition.

Sindh is the most affected province in terms of the number of cases, with 575,949 infections, followed by Punjab which has reported 505,224 cases so far.
