PML-N stages protest outside Jemima’s residence

LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) activists held a protest outside the residence of British scriptwriter Jemima Goldsmith’s octogenarian mother in London.

A video shared by Jemima on Twitter showed an aggressive party supporter threatening to break into the bedrooms of her family if the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s supporters did not stop holding protests outside the Avenfield House residence of PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif.

She further asked the British police if such threatening demonstrations were “legal”.

Last week, Goldsmith had stated that there were protests outside her house, that her children were being targeted and that she was facing antisemitic abuse on social media. “Its almost like I’m back in 90’s Lahore,” she had written.

Former prime minister Imran Khan was married to Goldsmith from 1995 to 2004 and together they share two children, Kasim and Sulaiman. Goldsmith had moved to London after her divorce, where she has been living with her sons ever since.
