Two terrorists killed in Peshawar

ISLAMABAD: Two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with police in Peshawar, the capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of police said on Saturday.

The CTD and security forces conducted a joint operation according to information shared by intelligence agencies regarding the presence of terrorists from a banned outfit in the Waliabad area of the city, killing two most wanted terrorists, the CTD in Peshawar said in a statement.

The killed terrorists included the mastermind of the terrorist attack on a mosque in Peshawar that killed over 60 people and injured nearly 200 others in March this year.

Police said that a huge cache of arms and ammunition was also seized during the operation.
