ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported 779 confirmed Covid-19 infections and two deaths during the last 24 hours, after exponential growth saw cases more than double in the past week, the Ministry of National Health Services said on Friday.
The tally of infected people increased to 1,544,910 after adding the new cases, according to the data released by the ministry.
The ministry’s statistics showed 30,428 people died from Covid-19 in Pakistan, with two more deaths recorded on Thursday.
On Thursday, 22,099 tests for Covid-19 were conducted in Pakistan while the positivity rate stood at 3.53 percent.
Currently, 182 active cases are in critical condition in the country.
