In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders and its constituent organizations have said that the Kashmiris reject Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government’s illegal move of August 05, 2019 and will take their
ongoing freedom struggle to its logical conclusion at all costs.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC leader, Ghulam Mohammad Khan Sopori, in a party meeting termed the abrogation of special status of IIOJK by the Modi regime on 05 August 2019, as a ‘breach of promise’ and ‘treachery’ by India as well as apathy of the United Nations.
He expressed dismay at the fact that India got the courage to violate the international law and revoke the special status of IIOJK despite the UN resolutions on the Kashmir dispute because except Pakistan and a handful of countries, the rest of the world maintained a criminal silence on the Indian atrocities on the oppressed Kashmiris.
Khan Sopori said that through revocation of special status of Kashmir, the
ruling regime of India attempted to tarnish the Kashmiriyat, humanity and
democracy in the occupied territory to further its nefarious political
designs. He appealed to the peace-loving Indian people to play an effective
role in the resolution of the Kashmir dispute and stopping the violations of
human rights by Indian troops in the occupied territory.
APHC leaders and organizations including Yasmeen Raja, Javaid Ahmed Mir,
Abdul Samad Inqilabi and Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement, in
their statements said the Kashmiris do not accept Narendra Modi-led fascist
Indian government’s illegal and unconstitutional actions of 05 August, 2019
and will continue their struggle till resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
They condemned the continued illegal detention of Hurriyat leadership by the
Indian authorities and house raids, killings, arbitrary arrests and other
human rights violations by Indian forces’ personnel in the occupied
territory to intimidate the Kashmiris into submission. They urged the
international community to take tangible steps to force India for the early
resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
