Nine govt teachers suspended for not hoisting Indian flag in IIOJK

JAMMU: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the authorities have suspended nine government teachers for not hoisting the Indian flag in their schools in Kishtwar district on the Indian Independence Day, the 15th August.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Zonal Education Officer, Inderwal placed nine teachers under suspension with immediate effect and also constituted a three member committee to inquire into the matter and submit the report within 15 days.

It is worth mentioning here that the Narendra Modi-led fascist government and the Indian army establishment had ordered hoisting of the Indian flag on all the government buildings including educational institutions across occupied territory on August 15, 2022 and to celebrate the official Independence Day of India.

However, the instructions were not followed in letter and spirit by the several school managements. The teachers including Rafiq Ahmad, Piyare Lal, Ayaz Ahmad, Sajjad Ahmad, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din and Mohammad Sikandar have been placed under suspension with immediate effect till pending enquiry and are attached in the same school.

MISSING RETIRED TEACHER FOUND DEAD IN SHOPIAN

In IIOJK, the dead body of a missing retired teacher was found, today (Friday) in Shopian district. According to Kashmir Media Service, the retired teacher, Abdul Ghani Rathar (66), was missing from his home in Pudsoo area of Shopian, since yesterday.

Some locals spotted a dead body in Nallah Vaishav in Feeripora area of the district. The body was taken by police into their possession.

Meanwhile, a 20 year-old boy allegedly ended his life by committing suicide in Kharpora Khansahib area of Badgam district.
