PDWP approves development schemes

Lyari Expressway passing alongside of Mirza Adam Khan Road, in the old city area of Bakra Piri, Karachi. Lyari Expressway is two winged, 38 km long corridor with 4 interchanges which allows a smooth flow of up and down traffic to / from the city. Down there in the river side the ongoing development can be observed for an under construction park, being built over the place where an open Bakra Piri (cattle market) was used to existed in the past. It is apparently a major project will serve and facilitate healthy and recreational activities to the people living in the neighborhood. The project is part of urban forestation that the provincial government has started over delta and Lyari River land.

LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved the development scheme of the industries sector with an estimated cost of Rs4,107 million.

The scheme was approved in the ninth meeting of PDWP of the current fiscal year presided over by the Planning and Development (P&D) Board chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal.

The approved development schemes included the establishment of a new small industrial estate in Gujrat.

P&D Board secretary Sohail Anwar Chaudhary, all members of the board, provincial secretaries of concerned departments, and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
