LAHORE: The Punjab government has allowed the health department for ad hoc appointments of doctors and paramedics.

Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi lifted the ban after the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department forwarded a summary in this regard.

According to the notification, both the health departments — Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, and Specialised Healthcare And Medical Education Department — are allowed to fill the vacant posts.

A day earlier, the province decided to add more hospitals to the panel for the provision of standard health treatment to the people having Sehat healthcare cards.
