Even though the national licensing examination (NLE), conducted for both national and foreign medical students, is a computerised affair, it still takes the relevant authorities two weeks to announce the results.
The result of computerised tests should not take more than a few hours. Moreover, it is strange that 80 per cent of national graduates passed the test compared to only 6pc of foreign graduates.
Every three months, the foreign graduates need to pay a hefty amount of Rs12,000 for sitting the exam again. Is it fair?
