Yutong Master donates 200 tents, 1,400 ration bags for flood victims

ISLAMABAD: China’s Yutong Bus and Pakistan’s Master Motors donated 200 tents and 1,400 ration bags for flood victims in Sindh province.

According to Gwadar on Wednesday, it was disclosed by Yutong Master, a joint venture between China’s Yutong Bus and Pakistan’s Master Motors.

More than 33 million people have been affected by monsoon floods across Pakistan since June, 2022. The flood killed more than 2,000 people and destroyed homes, crops and livestock.

At least 30 million people are in need for food, medicine and shelter, the
JV said.

With the spirit of ‘Hands in Hands against Hardship’, Master Motor Pakistan
and Yutong Bus China took an initiative of donating 10 trucks of ration and
tents to flood victims.

Mr. Robin , Middle East Head of Yutong Bus China along with Faisal Meraj,
Director Marketing and Sales of Master Motor handed over 40 tons of aid
including 1,400 ration bags and 200 tents to Sharjeel Inam Memon, Minister
for Transport and Information, Sindh.

The ceremony was held at the Minister’s office in Karachi, where both
company representatives pledged to continue the support for rehabilitation
of flood victims.

It is relevant to mention that Chinese enterprises operating in Pakistan are
at the forefront of the country’s flood relief efforts while the Chinese
government is also contributing generously for post-disaster rehabilitation.
