QUETTA: Four members of a same family were killed and one injured when unidentified attackers stormed their house near Dairy Farm Kharan in the wee hours of Friday.
According to police sources, unidentified armed men stormed the house of Sheikh Saleem Ahmad in the night. The intruders opened indiscriminate firing, killing four members of the family while another sustained critical gunshot wounds. A private news channel reported that on information the police rushed to the scene and shifted the injured and dead bodies Kharan Civil Hospital.
The police sources informed that two of the deceased were identified as Sheikh Saleem Ahmad, son of Abdul Salam, and Seet Islam, son of Amir Bakhsh while the injured was identified as Dashad, son of Abdul Ghafoor.
The identity of the other two persons could not be ascertained yet. The police have launched further investigation with no clue to the culprits.
The motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, informed a police official while seeking not to be named. He added: “We are investigating the matter and it is premature to say something about this incident.”
