SARGODHA: The University of Sargodha and Tang Chinese Education & Technology Ltd inked an agreement to promote cooperation in academic, educational and cultural spheres. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed at University of Sargodha.
The agreement was duly signed by Dr. Anjum Murtaza, Additional Director Office of the Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) University of Sargodha and Mr. Max Ma, Director & Executive President of Tang Pakistan.
Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, the Vice Chancellor UoS commented on the moment “this partnership will connect Sargodha University with top Chinese Universities and Vocational Institutes. It will also bring forward opportunities of joint degree programs, and vocational & faculty training, and Chinese Language programs as well.
Mr. Max pointed out that there are several Hi-end technologies through CCTE Model Modern China-Pakistan dual Diploma Joint Technical Education Program in which the University could start three-year Associate Degree Programs. Under this program, students will acquire theoretical knowledge at Sargodha University and a year-long practical training from Chinese Universities while a dual degree will be awarded after completion.
The agreement is aimed at imparting effective training, quality assessment, certification to the manpower for local economic zones and CPEC Industries & Special Economic Zones (SEZs) by launching CCTE Model Sino-Pak Dual Diploma Vocational & Technical Joint Education Program.
According to the agreement, the two sides will also carry out in-depth cooperation in the development of information-based vocational, technical courses and the introduction and certification of China’s vocational education standards.
Both parties also agreed to make efforts to establish a Model Industrial Unit for value addition to the citrus export in a triparty framework, including Tang, UoS and the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCC&I).
Besides exchanging experiences in innovative teaching methods, course design and modem education tools, inviting scholars, joint symposia, conferences like China-Pakistan International Industrial- Academic Cooperation Alliance and students for participation in training, lectures, conferences, and workshops, were other features of the signed MoU.
