LAHORE: Deputy Secretary Cabinet Jehanzeb who had de-notified Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhary Pervez Elahi on directives of Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman has been transferred.
According to notification issued on Monday, Abdul Rauf Mehr has been appointed new Deputy Secretary Cabinet while Jehanzeb has been given responsibilities of Deputy Secretary Services.
It is worth to mention here that during last couple of days, Governor Punjab had de-notified CM Pervez Elahi for not taking vote of confidence and Chief Secretary had also issued a notification in this connection.
However, the Lahore High Court (LHC) restored the chief minister and provincial cabinet after Pervez Elahi he submitted an undertaking that he would not dissolve assembly.
