PM expresses grief at death of civil servant

ISLAMABAD: Shehbaz Sharif Saturday expressed grief over the death of retired Capt. Sher Alam Mahsud, a BPS-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and secretary for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The prime minister expressed his sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for the elevation of his ranks, his office said in a press statement.

He said Mahsud was among the finest members of the bureaucracy. With his death, the civil service has lost a competent officer, he added.
