PM expresses gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s $1bn pledge for flood victims

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Sultan Al Murshid, to express Pakistan’s gratitude for the support provided by Saudi Arabia, particularly the recent $1 billion pledge for the rehabilitation of flood victims.

During the meeting, the prime minister emphasized Pakistan’s appreciation for the assistance provided by Saudi Arabia in the rehabilitation efforts and highlighted the strong bilateral relationship between the two countries.

He also acknowledged that Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan in difficult times.

In addition to the discussion on the flood relief efforts, the meeting also covered a review of various development projects that Saudi Arabia is currently undertaking in Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by key government officials including Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, and an adviser to the prime minister, Ahad Cheema, as well as senior officials.
