LHC summons OGRA official tomorrow over oil shortage 

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has summoned the senior officer of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) again to appear before the court on Feb 15.

The court was hearing a public interest petition against the artificial shortage of petrol in the city. Earlier, Justice Muzamil Akhtar Shabbir expressed resentment over the non-appearance of the OGRA chief in the court.

The lawyer of the federal government on the occasion tendered an apology for the non-appearance of the OGRA official. The AAG Mir Haroon appeared in court on behalf of the federal government. The court summoned the senior officer of OGRA along with the reply on Feb 15.

The court also granted time to the Punjab Chief Secretary, IG, DC and other parties to submit their reply by Feb 15. A local petitioner has challenged the shortage of petroleum products in the city.
