LAHORE: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori on Sunday stated that ‘Jail Bharo Tehreek’ (courting arrest movement) announced by former prime minister adn PTI Chief Imran Khan is a political stunt and nothing else.
“Imran Khan’s Jail Bharo Tehreek’ is just a childish joke and a political stunt and nothing else’ he expressed these views while talking to Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain at his residence.
During the meeting they discussed several issues in detail. Ch Shujaat Hussain appreciated the role of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan in national politics. Both the leaders viewed that both PTI leadership and workers were not ready for arrests in Jail Bharo Tehreek.
Chaudhry Shujaat has also urged upon the country political parties to establish a broader national consensus for the country. He viewed that in the current situation not a single political party can deal with the challenges facing the country, the need of the hour is that all political parties should establish a broader national consensus. On skyrocketing price hike he urged upon the government to immediately take all possible steps to provide relief to the common people of the country.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori said that the country’s economic challenges require unity and agreement, this is not the time for politics but for joint efforts to get the country out of economic difficulties. “Stability of Pakistan is the most important thing at this time. There is a need for political stability.“Imran Khan is only interested in politics, because of one person’s ego we are facing a serious situation, Imran Khan’s Jail Bharu movement is just a childish joke, Imran Khan’s Jail Bharo movement is a stunt. They are not ready for arrests’ he added.
Cousin Goes Missing From Gujrat’
Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) leader Moonis Elahi said Saturday that his cousin went missing while travelling to Mandi Bahauddin from Gujrat.
In a Twitter message, Moonis Elahi said that his cousin Zegham Gondal went missing while travelling from Gujrat to Mandi Bahauddin. He added that his vehicle was also missing following his disappearance.
He said that the police, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) were also unaware of Zegham Gondal’s disappearance.
Earlier in the month, Moonis Elahi claimed that police and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) are conducting raids without warrants.
Reacting to the police’s raid at Pervaiz Elahi’s residence in Gujrat, the politician had said that police, FIA and other institutions reached Kunjah House again. He added that they keep raiding without warrants.
The PML-Q leader further said, “By raiding our house you think you will make us leave Imran Khan. Think again!”
