Multan Sultans promising fast-bowler Ihsanullah has set his sights on surpassing Umran Malik’s speed record, which he currently holds at 157kmph.

The 20-year-old pacer, who has already bowled at a speed of 155kmph, aims to break Malik’s record and reach a speed of 160kmph.

“Alhamdulillah, I am satisfied with my performance so far,” said the 20-year-old pacer. “I have bowled at a speed of 155kmph. Now, I want to break the record of Umran Malik. He bowled at 157kmph. I will try to break his record and bowl at 160kmph,” he added.

Despite his young age, Ihsanullah has already made a name for himself in the PSL season 8, where he is currently the leading wicket-taker with 12 wickets in five matches. He hopes to maintain his consistency and finish the tournament as the highest wicket-taker.

“So far, it has been a good tournament for me. I will try to maintain consistency and finish the tournament as the highest wicket-taker,” he mentioned.

Ihsanullah’s dream is to play for the national team and take the wicket of Virat Kohli. He comes from Swat and has represented Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in seven first-class games, 11 list A, and 13 T20 games.

The young fast bowler aims to get into the national side. “Obviously, from here, I want to be in the national team. If I get a chance to play for Pakistan, I wish to take the wicket of Virat Kohli. It is my dream,” he concluded.

The HBL PSL continues to showcase the talents of Pakistan’s fast bowlers, and Ihsanullah is currently one of the standout performers in the event. He has already bagged big wickets, including those of Jason Roy and Babar Azam.

“My favorite wickets were of Jason Roy and Babar Azam,” said Ihsanullah, who bagged big wickets so far.
