TDAP to organize “Her Hunar” to encourage women entrepreneurs hailing from North Pakistan

Islamabad: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) will organize “Her Hunar” to encourage women entrepreneurs hailing from North Pakistan.

As per the details,  TDAP on Friday organized a “Pre-exhibition Ceremony” of the upcoming event “Her Hunar”.

The main objective was to promote “Her Hunar” which is to be held on 4th & 5th March, 2023 at Pak-China Friendship Center, Islamabad to encourage women entrepreneurs hailing from North Pakistan including Chitral, Swat, Hazara, DI Khan, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir.

Chief Guest Shehera Shahid (Secretary Ministry of Information and Broadcasting) formally launched the official logo of HER HUNAR. She appreciated TDAP for coming up with such an initiative and hoped that such events will help female entrepreneurs to tap their potential and bring them at par to their male counterparts. She also encouraged the audience to participate in the event and wished that this trend would continue.

Muhammad Naseer (Director General, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan) welcomed the participants and provided an overview of Her Hunar Exhibition. He appreciated the response received from female entrepreneurs and hoped that the event will add some value to the women empowerment cause.  

Maryam Mumtaz (Assistant Director, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan) briefed the audience about event details for Her Hunar. Over 120 female entrepreneurs from GB, AJK, KPK & Islamabad region would showcase their indigenous products.

The exhibition would also include sideline activities of seminars, training along with entertaining side cultural performances of the Northern region, traditional cuisine and various fun activities for families & kids.

Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari (President, Islamabad Chamber of commerce & Industry) appreciated TDAP for “HER HUNAR” exhibition and assured support of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry for trade promotion activities for development of women entrepreneurs.

 Rizwana Asif (President, Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry) appreciated the efforts of TDAP for organizing a women specific exhibition. Ms. Sidra Cheema & Ms. Mahnoor Fatima also supported the TDAP initiative for the development of women entrepreneurs of the North region.

The pre-exhibition ceremony was attended by members of various public and private organizations such as ITC, USAID, NUST, PSEB, FWB, WeCamp, representatives of women chambers of North Pakistan, female and male entrepreneurs along with media.
