— Condemns arrest of Gen Amjad Shoaib, urges Pakistanis to stand up to save Pakistan from abyss
LAHORE: Renowned religious scholar Allama Shahanshah Naqvi called on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan here on Monday. PTI Central Information Secretary Farrukh Habib was also present in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, PTI Chairman said that scholars should perform the duty of promoting and protecting values in the society.
He said that people of Pakistan were the trustees of an unparalleled cultural and religious heritage, adding that as the Ummah of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), we have eternal resources of guidance in the form of the Holy Book and the Sunnah.
Imran Khan said that Deen-e-Mubeen provided them rich guidance ranging from society, politics and society to economy, vowing that they would continue to work hard to build Pakistan on the lines of the state of Medina with the help of Allah Almighty. He said that the scholars should come forward to guide the nation to make Pakistan a truly welfare state.
Allama Shahanshah Naqvi applauded PTI Chairman for his role in presenting the case of Islamophobia at the global level in befitting manner. He also appreciated the key philosophy and goal of transforming Pakistan into a modern welfare state in the light of the golden principles of the State of Medina.
Separately, PTI Chairman strongly condemned the arrest of Lt-Gen. (retd) Amjad Shoaib and added that it showed that democracy and freedom being totally destroyed in Pakistan to save regime change conspiracy’s fascist order of cabal of crooks propped by handlers. “It is time for every Pakistani to stand up for Haqeeqi Azadi and save Pakistan from the abyss,” he added.
