“Trees provide us a healthy environment through a pollution free atmosphere. The environmental problems of global warming, ozone depletion and pollution are today’s burning issues. A solution to these problems lies in planting more and more trees,” Dr Shabbar Atiq said, adding that trees are the prime source of environmental purification.

The VC urged the students to promote the awareness among the masses about the benefits of planting more and more trees because “it is our shared national responsibility”.
