Navy wins ‘National Rowing Championship’

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy lifts the Men’s title while Pakistan Army grabs women ‘s category crown of National Rowing Championship concluded here at Rawal Lake Islamabad organised by Pakistan Rowing Federation (PWF).

Teams of Pakistan Army, Navy, Wapda, Police, HEC, KBC and Islamabad Rowing Association participated in the championships. A number of elite level and emerging athletes (men and women) showed the mastery of their respective skills during the championship.

In men rowing events, Navy won 5 gold and 2 silver medals to win the championship while Army got the second position with 2 gold and 5 silver medals.

In women rowing events, Army grabbed 7 gold medals to clinch the women’s title while Wapda won 7 silver medals, Navy grabbed 5bronze and HEC grabbed 2 bronze medals respectively.
