Nasir Butt’s bail revoked in triple murder case

RAWALPINDI: Additional district and sessions court on Monday revoked the bail of Nasir Butt, a close aide of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, in the triple murder case.

According to details, the case of triple murder against Nasir Butt was heard by the Additional District and Sessions Judge Sohail Anjum.

The bail plea was dismissed by the court over the non-compliance and non-appearance of Nasir.

A case of triple murder was registered against Nasir on October 15, 1996, in Sadiqabad, after which, Butt shifted abroad.

Earlier, red warrants were also issued for Nasir, but his bail was approved till April 3.

Last month, Nasir, a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League and a close associate of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Pakistan after ending self-exile.

It may be noted that Nasir has also submitted nomination papers from the PP-16 constituency of the Punjab Assembly.
